Nisolo Women's Huarache Sandals - Casual, Comfortable, Waterproof

Each pair of our handwoven Nisolo Huarache sandals is proudly made in an ethical factory we own and operate in Peru. Crafting a single pair requires up to an entire day and 250 individual steps, with 22 people across various areas like leather cutting and packaging handling the product before completion. Though an intensive process, this is one of our producers' favorite shoes to work on.

The huarache design dates back to pre-Columbian Mexico and has since become a staple sandal across many Latin American countries and cultures. Every pair is unique, as the soft, hand-cut leather will mold to the shape of your feet over time, providing a comfortable, custom fit. The durable rubber sole also offers advanced traction.

When constructing leather goods, many brands produce high waste by cutting abnormal shapes and leaving unusable scraps. However, our huaraches are made with smaller strips of leather, allowing us to use up to 95% of our raw material - in contrast, other brands may only utilize up to 60%.

Imported from abroad, these sandals feature a leather outer material and lining. The closure is a slip-on style. For the best fit, we recommend sizing down by a half size, as the handwoven leather may feel slightly snug at first but will conform perfectly to your feet over time.
